so why shouldn't your management be unique to you?

I named this program More Than A1C (MTA1C) because Diabetes is more than a number on a screen. It's about experimentation, reflection, planning, and taking action.
Diabetes shouldn't feel overwhelming, frustrating, scary, or confusing. You should be confident that you can achieve stable and in-range blood sugars regardless of the situation or circumstance.
MTA1C will help you feel free of fear, worry, anxiety, confusion, and distrust of your daily decisions.
Don't let Diabetes hold you back any longer!
That education gap is real. It’s not your fault. And it’s exactly what these 5 lessons are built to fill.
The Diabetes community faces a significant challenge due to the overwhelming amount of information, making it challenging to comprehend and fully understand the complexities of this condition.
The rapid pace at which you are expected to learn everything needed to thrive and be safe can be overwhelming and frustrating, resulting in an emotional and physical roller coaster.
Your medical team lacks the time to assist you in prioritizing education, your mental health, embracing experimentation, and how to accept this condition.
You need transparency, guidance, and someone who will meet you where you are with compassion and empathy.
Someone who can understand what you're going through and help you steer clear of the ups and downs.
It's time to lead your best life with Diabetes!
Lesson 1 — Mental Health
Why your mindset isn’t a “soft” skill — it’s the skill everything else is built on.
Fear, burnout, shame, and denial don't go away by getting a better A1C. We start here because until you address the emotional weight of T1D, everything else is harder than it needs to be. Acceptance isn't giving up — it's how you stop letting diabetes call the shots.
Lesson 2 — Strategic Decision-Making
Stop memorizing rules.
Start thinking like a T1D problem-solver.
Your CGM is a tool, not a report card — and your data is telling you a story if you know how to read it. Lesson 2 teaches you how to think through real-life decisions with confidence, so you're never just guessing and hoping for the best.
Lesson 3 — Consistency & Routines
Perfection is the enemy of progress.
Consistency is the game.
The T1Ds who thrive don't have perfect blood sugars — they have repeatable ones. Lesson 3 shows you how to build routines that actually stick, so you spend less time chasing perfection and more time building the habits that create real, lasting stability.
Lesson 4 — Nutrition
You don’t need a perfect diet.
You need sustainable nutritional habits.
For many T1Ds, food is one of the most stressful parts of the day. Every meal is a math problem, a guessing game, and a potential blood sugar disaster all at once. It doesn't have to be that way. Lesson 4 breaks down how food actually affects your blood sugar — without the guilt, the rigid rules, or the restriction — so eating stops feeling like a threat and starts feeling like something you actually enjoy.
Lesson 5 — Physical Well-Being
Exercise — and why it shows up on your CGM.
Movement is one of the most powerful tools a T1D has, but only if you know how to use it. Lesson 5 shows you how to exercise with confidence, build recovery habits that support stable blood sugar, and understand how hydration impacts your glucose — so your body becomes your greatest asset, not your biggest source of frustration.
Note: This lesson focuses on exercise. Sleep and hydration are covered in depth inside our coaching programs.

🎁 The 5 Pillars of Diabetes Success Roadmap — Complete all 5 lessons within 5 days and get immediate access to this bonus video: your personalized framework for identifying exactly where you're strong and where to focus next.

Yes, no catch. Sign up and you’ll get access to Lesson 1 immediately.
Great question — and a fair one. The 5 Lessons are 100% free and you will not be charged anything today. GoHighLevel, the platform we use to host and deliver this program, requires a payment method on file during checkout even when the total is $0.00. This is a platform requirement we don't control. You won't see anything on your statement, and no payments will be charged unless you decided to move into coaching at a later date.
Over 5 short video lessons, you’ll work through the 5 Pillars of Diabetes Success: Mental Health, Strategic Decision-Making, Consistency & Routines, Nutrition, and Physical Well-Being. These are the exact pillars I've build every coaching relationship around — and they cover the real-world T1D education that rarely makes it into a doctor’s appointment.
Each video is short and focused — designed for real people with real lives. You can complete one per day in 15 minutes or less or move through each lesson before the 5-days are finished.
Most people find a mindset shift starts with Lesson 1. Practical changes — better decisions, more stable patterns, less second-guessing — tend to build as you move through the series. These aren’t overnight fixes, your hard work and determination is what makes every work together.
Potentially — yes. But more importantly, it will help you understand why your numbers look the way they do, and what you can actually do about it. A1C is one data point. These lessons are about building the confidence and skills that will help you THRIVE with diabetes instead of just surviving.
Absolutely. These 5-lessons apply whether you were diagnosed last month or 20+ years ago. Most people find there’s at least one pillar they’ve never fully addressed.
Not at all — the 5 Lessons is a free 5-day challenge, nothing more. If you want to continue working together after completing the lessons, that's a conversation we can have. But there's zero obligation. This exists for one reason: to empower you to think differently about managing your diabetes.
You don't need to — but I always encourage a strong relationship with your medical team. These lessons aren't medical advice. They're the principles, context, and real-world strategies that most appointments simply don't have the time, resources, or capacity to cover. Simplifying Life With Diabetes is designed to complement your clinical care, not replace it. We're here to help you thrive between appointments — not compete with your medical team.
The lessons stand completely on their own. After Lesson 5, I'll share information about my coaching programs — because the 5 Pillars are the exact foundation we build on together in coaching. But you'll have everything you need to decide if coaching is the right next step for you. No pressure, no hard sell. Just five lessons that might change the way you manage T1D for the rest of your life.
